Modern Dollhouse from Hase Weiss

Mix and match. Arrange and rearrange. This dollhouse from Hase Weiss, a german brand creating wonderful toys makes my heart beat a little bit faster.  Looking at it, I realised that growing up in India in the 70s, most homes had exactly the same green, blue and pink on their walls since these were the few standard colours available on the market back then. Now I know why this very modern dollhouse still makes me feel a little bit nostalgic!

Threading Beads from Ecotoy

I like these chunky wooden threading beads from Ecotoy. Slightly larger than many found on the market they are easier for smaller children to handle. Handmade and using environmentally friendly materials and naturals dyes, the set of 20 beads come packed in a handy box together with a sorting board.

Wooden Geo Sorter

This is one of the better geo sorters I have seen on the market. With it's rounded corners and smooth finish, there's no need to worry about younger toddlers hurting themselves on sharp wooden edges. A nice activity toy for creating awareness of shapes, sizes and shades of colour. Available at spielgezeug.de 

Play Kitchens for little chefs

I've been looking around for a play kitchen for my kids and these have made it to the short list.

Brio. Simple and understated. Looks like the real thing.

The new play kitchen by Janod (via Amazon). Like the colours, the sink and the little cupboard and shelves. Perfect to stash away little pieces of cutlery and play food.  

Rafinesse & Tristesse

These little miniature kitchens by Rafinesse and Tristesse  made of empty olive tins and other recycled items are bright, colorful and definitely an eye-catcher where ever you place it.

The little hob (pic left) from Haba looks minimalistic, is minimalistic. Can be moved around easily, taken on holidays and stashed away when the little chefs take a break. 

The kids (and mama) can unleash their creativity on this cardboard kitchen (pic above right) and turn it into their own unique little item. Best of all, it can be easily disposed off if the kids decide that cooking is not their calling in life. Available at Pappdorf.

Goki Hobby Horses
